About the event

Do you want to have a better understanding of the forces that keep us in the air? Current online ground courses prepare you for the written exam, but what do you really need to know to keep you and your passengers safe?

This six week course covers topics to expand your understanding of the physics at play when we get into our airplanes. Topics include

  • What is air and how do our planes fly through it?,
  • What does that spinny thing up front do, anyway?,
  • How engineers keep pilots and passengers safe
  • Hey mister, does a stall mean we’re going to die?
  • No, we can’t load your two-ton bag in the back!
  • plus much more.

Split into a six week course, you will leave with comprehensive knowledge of just what Leonardo da Vinci was trying to figure out - how humans can take flight.

The last week includes an administered exam and upon completion, you will recieve a certificate of completion for the course. In addition, you will be able to log at least 6 hours of ground instruction. Attendees will be able to access the recorded sessions for one year.

If you are unable to attend live, purchase of a ticket will allow access to the recorded sessions.
